Vintage Mid-Century Lion Brooch in 18k Yellow Gold

This fun and unique brooch is reminiscent of the cowardly lion from the wizard of oz.  While we don't know if that was the inspiration, this piece is incredibly unique.  The lion's face is beautifully represented with diamond eyebrows and whiskers while the eyes are emeralds, adding a gorgeous contrast of color to the design.  Additionally, the mouth holds a cabochon cut ruby that adds a subtle bit of character.  Lastly, the exquisite mane provides the texture and ties together this wonderful piece of Mid-Century wearable art.
