While the 42 carat dyed green Agate in the center of this 14 karat rose gold, Mid-Century Era cocktail ring might be what catches your eye, even more wonderful are the ten (10) Demantoid Garnets set throughout the piece. Demantoid Garnets are a green variety of Garnet named after the old German word Demant, meaning diamond, because of their high light dispersion. A very rare form of Garnet, eight (8) oval Demantoids and two (2) rows of diamonds form a halo around the Agate. Underneath the Agate, the shank of the ring splits slightly to reveal a pear shaped Demantoid tucked in the split on each side.
