Melissa Kaye Black Enamel Diamond Link Necklace 18k

Designer Melissa Kaye built this necklace from fluted black enamel links set in 18 karat yellow gold. Each link carries a smooth, ridged texture that catches light differently than a plain chain would. At the center, one link is has round brilliant cut diamonds totaling .45 carats.

The diamonds carry an F color grade, meaning they read nearly colorless to the eye, and VS2 clarity, so any inclusions stay well hidden from view. Round brilliant cutting gives each stone multiple facets that bounce light back in quick flashes rather than one long line. Set against the black enamel, that sparkle reads brighter by contrast.

The necklace measures 16 inches, sitting at the collarbone on most necks. Gold and enamel together give it enough weight to lay flat without feeling heavy against the skin.
