This solitaire engagement ring features a GIA-certified 2.00 carat marquise cut diamond set in 14 karat yellow gold, graded under certificate number 1246079750. The marquise shape stretches the stone into a long, pointed oval, giving it a visually elongating effect on the finger. Step faceting cuts broad, flat planes into the stone, trading the scattered sparkle of a round cut for longer, bolder flashes of light. Graded S-T on the color scale, the diamond carries a warm, pale yellow tint that blends naturally with the yellow gold mounting rather than standing apart from it. At SI2 clarity, the stone holds minor inclusions that are difficult to spot without magnification, keeping the face-up view clean to the naked eye.
