.09 Art Deco Filigree Navette Cocktail Ring 18k White Gold

This Art Deco cocktail ring features a navette (marquise-shaped) design made from 18 karat white gold with filigree metalwork and an engraved band. Three single cut diamonds are set across the elongated face, each weighing .09 carats with VS2 clarity and I color. 

Single cut diamonds have only 17 or 18 facets instead of the 58 found in full brilliant cuts, giving them a simpler, more subdued sparkle. The fluted shape creates vertical ridges in the metal that add dimension and texture to the surface. White gold provides a bright, neutral backdrop that helps the diamonds appear whiter despite their I color grade. The navette shape extends across the finger, creating length that makes fingers appear longer when worn, typical of Art Deco designs from the 1920s-1930s.
