Are the diamonds and gemstones natural, genuine or enhanced?
All of our diamonds are indeed natural and untreated. The majority of our gemstones are natural gemstones mined decades ago across the world. The only synthetic gemstones that will be commonly found in antique jewelry are small sides stones. The use of synthetic sides stones was common practice during the early 1900’s and was appreciated. We will indicate in each listing if the side gemstones are synthetic which are true to the period.
What types of metals are used in the antique, estate and modern jewelry on our website?
All the metals on our website are precious metals ie: platinum, palladium, gold and silver. Each title and description will indicate the karat (percentage of purity). We do not have plated or gold filled jewelry available for sale on Filigree Jewelers.com
What is a millimeter?
A millimeter is a unit a measure and is used to indicate measurements in jewelry. For example; 5 mm is approximately 1/5 of an inch. A dime is approximately 18 mm in diameter, (17.9 mm).
Why do you use approximate weights when describing your jewelry?
Unlike many other jewelers we don't buy our jewelry off a manufacturer's shelf. Filigree Jewelers takes pride in hand selecting each piece of jewelry based on design, antiquity value and quality. Because of the way we do business, there can be slight variations in the carat weights of the pieces we offer. We calculate each measurement and weight to the best of our ability as the mounting permits. That is why we use the term approximate carat weight.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards including: Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. We also accept PayPal and a personal check. Personal Checks may be mailed to our address; after the check has cleared the item will be shipped.

Does we charge sales tax?
Filigree Jewelers is required to charge sales tax on any purchase in the state of Minnesota where our office is located
Can I change or cancel my order?
You may change or cancel your order while it has a status of "In Process." Your Order Status can be viewed via our web site. Please contact us immediately if you have decided to cancel your order within 24 hours of purchase. 612-486-2290.
What are my shipping options?
Federal Express and USPS (United States Postal Service) are our preferred shipping methods. We have the ability to use all of their delivery options to ensure your needs are met.
What about shipping insurance?
Filigree Jewelers will insure your order through the selected shipping company at no charge to you.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Orders usually ship within 1-2 business days (Monday - Friday, excluding holidays) of the date you place your order.
What do I do if my order does not arrive in that time frame?
Call us right away at 612-486-2290. We will be happy to track your order and provide you with an expected delivery date. We are committed to meeting your requirements, and we will make every possible effort to ensure your order reaches its destination when you want it to arrive.
