We have so much new inventory in the shop so we felt like we should put together a list of our most amazing diamond (plus one sapphire) engagement rings between 1 and 3 carats. While these rings vary in metal, setting, and cut of diamond, they are all gorgeous vintage pieces that we have never had a chance to show you before. We hope you’ll either find your special ring here or it will inspire you to look for others on our site!
The first piece on the list is an amazing diamond ring that is done in platinum. The 1.5 carat Old Euro looks amazing held by eight prongs with its very large facets. The shoulders swooping around with big open spaces and small accent stones add even more to this enchanting ring.
This simple Victorian ring will make someone so immensely happy. With a nearly 2 carat GIA certified Old European cut doing most of the heavy lifting, looks wise. This classic solitaire has the subtle allure and presence of a piece that has been around for a long while…looking fabulous the whole time.
Another fantastic example of a Victorian ring with a large Old European cut diamond! This ring looks old and distinguished, in a great way! The essence of handcrafted-ness is strong with this ring, from the crimped prongs to the rows of shoulder accents. This ring is perfect for someone who appreciates old beauty!
This fabulous ring comes to us from the Art Deco period with a jaw dropping 3.60 carat GIA certified Old Euro. The detail on this piece is endless, with milgrained edges on the shoulders and even the prongs holding the center stone!
This fantastic ring comes to us again from the Art Deco period and makes excellent use of a 1 carat transitional cut diamond. The major difference you’ll notice between this and the Old European cut that will be in most Art Deco pieces is that the facets are smaller (similar to a round brilliant) and there is no culet. The accent stones on the shoulder have an interesting geometric look and the band has a knife edge which goes great with that.
What a charming Art Deco ring we have here! The Old European cut diamond is bezel set between split shoulders that have tension set accent diamonds in those lovely open spaces. There is also plenty of milgrain detail running along the edges of this ring…which we all love.
Here we have a gorgeous cushion cut sapphire that is dramatically held by four split prongs and accented by two beautiful trapezoid diamonds. Sapphire engagement rings are extremely popular right now and this simple design makes great use of small details to distinguish itself from the masses!
This amazing ring is not only Victorian, so very old, but even for Victorian rings it has such a unique design! The prongs have such a fascinating look, with their open circles and then connecting with the interestingly shaped basket. Everything about this ring is fascinating and you will not find another with this look and history.
What do we have here? Another rose gold Victorian engagment ring! This one features a GIA certified cushion cut with a very old world design making use of twelve prongs. The gold on this ring has been polished so it stands out a bit from the typical patina you would see on Victorian gold, but that makes you pay more attention to the lovely design!
If Victorian engagement rings are your thing, this section of the list must be like a vacation for you! Here is another fantastic engagement ring with a design that you still see on modern rings. The star of the show here is the halo, and more specifically the crown basket holding it all. Such a fabulous patina’d look and a gorgeous cushion cut diamond.
This magical Old European cut is nearly 3 carats and set in such a lovely bezel with two rows of milgrain. If you have a love for beautiful and skillful engraving aside from your obvious love of fabulous diamonds, you are in luck! The shoulders of this ring have wonderful chevron engraving and are bordered by more milgrain detail.
We are finishing the list this week with an Art Deco ring full of character and charm. With a 1 carat Old Euro in the center and dainty little milgrain sections holding diamonds on the shoulders that almost look like hearts. The triangular shape of the shoulders leads down to a point and then continues with a knife edge band. Such a great ring at a great size!
