New North Loop Location

New North loop location

July 26, 2018 – MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – After seven years in two North Loop locations, Filigree Jewelers moves its stores into one location at The Whitney Square Lofts (210 North 2nd Street Minneapolis, MN). The new store is set to open in September 2018.

“We are so excited to bring our two locations into one showroom,” said, Catherine Thies, co-owner of Filigree Jewelers. “When deciding to move, we knew we wanted to stay in the North Loop, as it has become Filigree’s home and a place our customers enjoy coming to.”

Filigree Jewelers will combine their current bridal location and their MartinPatrick3 location into one, open ground floor retail space. The larger location will continue curating high-end antique and vintage pieces with a special focus on modern fine jewelry. By combining the bridal and vintage lines, Filigree Jewelers will be able to create a fully immersive shopping experience, fitting all customers’ needs.

“Jewelry is a combination of passion, art and rare treasures. Our new space will reflect the art history and passion that goes into every piece of jewelry,” said Brent Thies, co-owner of Filigree Jewelers.

“We take great pride in the jewelry and service we provide to our customers. Our relationships are built on educating our clients while cultivating comfort in their purchases, and we can’t wait to continue growing with them in our new location right down the street.”

Owners, Brent and Catherine Thies, grew up in the jewelry business, and now run Filigree Jewelers, which is a family-owned and operated jewelry boutique. Their long-standing lineage, dating back to 1923, in the business allows them to source one-of-a-kind antique and vintage jewelry, some dating back to the Victorian era.

New Arrivals

welcome to the neighborhood

If you’re in the market for diamonds, they’ve got the best in town (hint, hint to anyone thinking of getting engaged), but they’ve also got the most beautiful and breathtaking collection of gemstones ever. There’s something so fun about trying on fancy jewelry, and Filigree’s brand-new location in the North Loop is as stunning as their jewelry. They moved out of their jewel box (pun intended) space, the Black Room, in MartinPatrick3, into a new spot down the street next to the new Parc. If you’re thinking about popping the question to your partner, it definitely needs to be your #1 stop. If you’re in the mood to really treat yourself (hey, new job!), same thing — their jewels are the best around. Just follow their Instagram and I dare you not to start drooling. (Filigree Jewelers, 210 N. Second St., #101, Minneapolis)

Minnesota Monthly: A Tale of Two Jewelers

After seven years in the Colonial Warehouse building where MartinPatrick3 resides, Filigree announced in June that it was ready to move out of its shared space, reunite the family—it had a bridal boutique on the third floor—and find one ground floor retail space in the North Loop.

Filigree has taken the place of C’est Chic in the Whitney Square Lofts, and owners Brent and Catherine Thies are excited to continue curating their high-end antique and vintage pieces with a special focus on modern fine jewelry and an increasingly growing collection of designer-signed pieces from brands like Cartier, Tiffany, Van Cleef and Arpels, and David Webb. They also happen to have the largest antique and vintage engagement ring collection in the state, and with the extra space, they can focus on adding modern classics, a modern diamond line in sterling silver priced from $350-$1,500, and more.

Goodbye to the blackroom

August 16-18th will be our last weekend in the “Black Room” in Martin Patrick3 and we want to say thank you for supporting our family business.

We are extremely excited to move into our new digs, just around the corner, 1 block away at 210 N 2nd Street. We look forward to helping you find the perfect piece when we open our doors Sept 5th!
